Once back on the track the rest of the race went like clockwork travelling a distance of 49 laps and finishing 7 laps ahead of 2nd position.

Caine had engine issues on the start line and was slow out of pit lane. He slipped back to 4th and by 5 he managed to jump into 3rd before an incident saw his side drive belt fly off and he limped back to the pits. The belt was re installed and Caine battled on lap 25 Caine got into 3rd place and tried to run down his big brother.
