This month, we proudly celebrate Jorge Soto’s 10-year milestone with Preston Hire! Since joining us in February 2015, Jorge has been a dedicated and hardworking member of our team, always willing to take on new challenges.
Jorge’s journey began with a short-term shutdown project operating a Maeda 305 crane. What started as a two-week role quickly turned into a long-term career. Soon after, he stepped into truck deliveries and platform installations, becoming a key player in our operations. Over the years, he has completed countless installations, overcoming complex site challenges with skill and determination.
Beyond his technical expertise, Jorge is known for his strong commitment to safety and teamwork. From platform installations and crane operations to compliance checks and pre-hire inspections, his work ensures our projects run smoothly and safely.
Describing himself as serious and hardworking, Jorge values loyalty, honesty, and teamwork – qualities that have earned him great respect among his colleagues. On a personal note, he recently became a grandfather for the second time earlier this month, with another grandchild on the way! Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, 4WD adventures, fishing, and quality time with family and friends.
Reflecting on his decade at Preston Hire, Jorge has witnessed major company milestones, from expanding into new markets to forming key industry partnerships. Looking ahead, he’s excited about the future, confident that continued innovation will keep Preston Hire at the forefront of the industry.
