Race 29 – Position 15
Still struggling with car pace in Sunday’s Qualifying session, Holdsworth began Race 29 in P22.
Again receiving contact on the opening lap, Holdsworth was smashed into at the rear and was forced to hit the car in front.
The smash meant that Holdsworth had to Race 73 laps with overheating brakes due to brake ducts covered over after the incident, but still managed to better Saturday’s result and farewell the Sydney 500 in P15.
