Grahame had a very strong lead and while overtaking slower cars a West Australian competitor turned down and collided with Grahame’s causing substantial suspension damage and finishing his race. The pressure was then on young Corey to do the team proud. Corey fought the tough field to gain the lead and lead for the rest of the race. A stoppage 5 laps before the end saw Corey make a very small Mistake which allowed Mitchell Rooke from Queensland slide through and Corey tried to chase him down. Unfortunately Corey was unable to catch Mitchell and he secured 2nd place.
Grahame dnf leading the race and was overtaking lapped traffic when a west oz driver turned down hitting the rear end causing substantial damage and was unable to finish the race.
